About

The Young NHL (yNHL) Network brings together early-career scientists and clinicians working in paediatric Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL)—a rare group of childhood cancers that urgently require collaborative research to improve outcomes.

As paediatric NHL is uncommon, strong international cooperation is essential. While global consortia exist, opportunities for junior researchers to connect and contribute remain limited. The yNHL Network was founded in 2022 by Emily James, Dr Lucy Hare and Dr Marta Ferraresso at the University of Cambridge to create a dedicated space for early-career professionals working in this field.

Our growing community includes members from across the UK and Europe. We host monthly online seminars where members share research and discuss recent advances, organise meet-ups during major international conferences, and support lab exchange opportunities to encourage hands-on collaboration and skill-building.

By fostering connections early in members’ careers, the yNHL Network aims to strengthen the partnerships needed to advance research and improve the lives of children affected by NHL worldwide.
